At Galen University, we believe there is a real need in Belize for Systematic empirical observation and quantitative analysis of human behavior. There is also a need for an interdisciplinary social science agenda to address this. In order to align these needs with the country’s development it is imperative that we build capacity to engage in research and analysis.

Our Master of social Science is designed to prepare students to become part of the discussions and solutions to Belize’s development. This program offers the theoretical aspects of social science and development, as well as the application of research, planning, implementation and evaluation initiatives.

This 42 credit hours, 20-month program schedule is broken into 5 semesters:

SPRING

  • Belize Unveiled: Political Economy
