Academic Programs
Master of Education in Secondary Education
In partnership with The Watson School of Education at the University of North Carolina (UNCW), Galen University will offer a dual degree Master in Education beginning January 2012. The proposed Master in Education program with concentrations in English, Science and Mathematics will consist of 39 credit hours delivered through 13 courses of 3 credits each from our Belmopan campus. The foundation and professional courses for this program have been selected after extensive review of UNCW’s accredited courses and the increasing educational demand of improving effectiveness and efficiency in education at the secondary and tertiary levels in Belize. Additionally, the courses are aligned to address the National Program Goals of Teacher Education & Development Services (TEDS) for Teacher Education Programs.
