Master of Science in Accountancy

Galen University’s Master of Science in Accountancy Degree provides a broad based business education with a focus on accounting at the post baccalaureate level. The program is designed to enable students to meet the challenges of the CPA examination requirements. The main objective of the program is to equip business leaders with cutting edge accounting practices and critical thinking abilities that are crucial in today’s fast paced working environment.
The Master of Science in Accountancy Degree will be open to two categories of applicants:
Applicants already in possession of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting
Applicants already in possession of a Bachelor Degree in a Business related field.
A minimum GPA of 3.0
The following are requirements for completion of the Master of Science in Accountancy Degree:
Applicants possessing a Bachelor Degree in Accounting
Must complete 18 Graduate Level Accounting credit hours
Must Complete 18 Graduate Level Business (non-Accounting) credit hours
Total Graduate Level credit hours required to complete:36
Applicants possessing a (non-Accounting) Bachelor Degree in a Business related field
Must complete all of the requirements discussed above
Must complete also the 24 Accounting (Prerequisite) Undergraduate credits.
Note: All Graduate applicants must fulfill 6 credit hours of Graduate Foundation Courses.

(Note: The Accounting pre-requisite courses must be completed prior to enrollment in any Graduate level course in the Master of Science in Accountancy)

Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Education Costs:
Application fee - $150
Tuition - $750 per credit hour for the first nine core courses
Books - vary by course
*Students are expected to have their own computer and internet access of a minimum of 256k
