Master of Science in Economics
Galen University is pleased to announce the launching of its Master of Science Degree in Economics. This new world class program is scheduled to commence in Spring 2013.The program is designed for persons who work or will be working in the public, private, international, or NGO sectors, with a focus on economic development. It will admit persons with a strong Bachelor degree to the Master program.
Graduates from this program will be able to make decisions utilizing a synergy of cutting-edge tools from the economic, social and environmental sciences. They will be trained to make sustainable choices as they incorporate critical social and environmental considerations into their economic development decision-making processes. Therefore, due to the unique nature of the program, students are required to complete all their respective courses.
Master Students must complete a minimum of 36 credit hours. Courses will be led by highly qualified and dedicated Ph.D.s, and will be delivered in a face-to-face format at Galen University’s Belmopan campus on Saturdays. The degree program is designed for courses to build upon each other in a cohort format, with each course lasting eight weeks. This delivery method requires students to commit to intensive coursework. A GPA of 3.0 must be maintained by Master students throughout the programs.
