Mission

The Office of Student Affairs is a functioning unit of the university community. The primary objective of the Office of Student Affairs is to create an environment that champions student support beyond the classroom. Student Affairs provides quality programs and services to students and the greater campus community. These programs and services are designed to enlighten, enrich and empower students to achieve their greatest potential in the pursuit of their academic and personal development.

The Office of Student Affairs Objectives

  • Provide leadership development focusing on leading with integrity, community involvement, high academic achievement and nationalism
  • Promote academic scholarship through student support and retention services
  • Promote programming around the main pillars of the university: sustainable development pedagogy, human rights, diversity and entrepreneurship
  • Provide opportunities for student development through educational workshops, service learning and social activities
  • Provide life skills resources beyond the classroom in the areas of career development and counseling services

  • Academic Support Services: Tutorial/Exam Review Sessions, Early Grade Audit, New Student Transition Program
  • Career Services: Career/Job Fairs, Job Preparation Skills, Internships Opportunities, Campus Employment Opportunities
  • Student Leadership: Galen Scholars Program, Honors Society, Recognition Ceremony, Student Conferences & Seminars
  • Wellness: Stress Free Zone, Counseling Services, Safety Programs
  • Activities: Provost Lunch, Registered Student Organizations, Resource Expo, Campus/Community Partnerships, Sports Teams, Graduation Committee
