Four Galen University students, along with two other Belizean students studying in Mexico, participated in the 2012 SICA Regional Security Summit which was held from June 27-29 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The summit afforded Central American university students the opportunity to have their voices heard and be involved in drafting proposals to address the various issues facing the region.

The higlight of the Summit was the final day, Friday, when the university students had an opportunity to ask a question directly to their respective presidents or government representatives. The four Galen students will be writing a paper in the coming months on the social issues facing Belize. This academic research paper will be published and made available to the general public.
