In the Innovation Centre students, faculty and community entrepreneurs create or bring their ideas and innovations, develop innovations for commercialization, and build/grow businesses. Students in the Innovation Centre participate in an integrated training program, share common workspaces, gain access to mentors and funding sources, and collaborate with other members to build and test a prototype, search for and find a viable business model, create and grow startups, and eventually graduate from the incubator program. The interaction at Galen University Innovation Center (GUIA) creates a social work environment that is an exciting alternative to the usual location of the kitchen table, coffee shop, library, or other common areas.
